Working in Sections
|
ZipA foiling is most effective when foils are placed on angles. There are many benefits to angular placement such as greater color coverage, fewer foils used, no lines at the root and a natural re-growth. Use a slight angle for more coverage or a vertical angle for less coverage and more concentration. Any direction may be used on the top.
| Step 1 & 2 Step 1
Section off the bottom section of the head (1). Begin by placing foils across this section on angles.
Step 2
Section off the top section (3) to expose the middle section (2). Divide the middle section (2) into two working sections as shown by the blue arrows. |
| Step 3 Start in the back of section (2) and begin placing foils on angles working towards the hairline. Mirror this on the other side. |

Top of the Head
|
On the top section of the head, you may place ZipA foils in numerous positions. Even though your possibilities are endless, it should become your goal to match the overall style of the haircut. Use our piggyback technique for bold a look or use single foils for a less dramatic softer look. It's easy to mix and match your techniques. Add combinations of color or bleaching products and your possibilities will be endless. Try a couple of our top placement techniques.
